Did Eygptians Like What They Wore.
Men and women of ancient Egypt took pride in the clothing and jewelry they wore. It could be said that the Egyptians were a vain because of the large amounts of polished mirrors that could be found in homes across the land. This is proof that the Egyptians cared about appearances. I think That is rite because I would not wont to walk around with whatever I would like to be noticeable.
What Did They Wore Wile Working With The Egyptians.
The ancient Egyptians made their own clothes from what their environment and nature gave them. Egypt has mostly a hot climate the use of clothes reflect material that is lightweight to this type of climate. The ancient Egyptians used clothes made of linen. The ancient Egyptians both men and women wore linen clothes all throughout the hot weather. The men wore short skirts around their waists called kilts, while the women wore straight fitting dresses with straps on their shoulders. The wealthy men wore pleated kilts, and the older men wore a longer kilt. When doing hard work, men wore a loin cloth, and women wore a short skirt. Children usually ran around nude during the summer months. Linen is a fabric made from plant fibers. The plant fiber comes from flax plants that grow abundantly along the banks of the Nile
How The Egyptians Made There Clouth's
Clothing in ancient Egypt was almost always linen which is made from flax. Clothes were made of linen because flax was the only plant growing in Egypt that was used for clothing. The actual weaving of linen fabric was done on a loom, usually by women. Dressmaking were actually the only areas of the economy that remained in female hands. White linen needed constant washing please u wont see me wering white all the time. They washed there clouths in the river or canal, rinsed, then pounded on a stone, and, bleached in the sun i think they did not invent the washer and dryer yet. Linen clothes needed to be repleated every time they were washed. Important Egyptians were often wore pleated skirts. Only high status had pleated clothes because the pleating process involved so much labor. Pleating pressing the linen into a wooden board and letting it dry.
